Poster Presentation: Australian Dementia Forum
1 June 2021Childhood Dementia Initaitve’s Head of Research, Dr Kris Elvidge, presented at the Australian Dementia Forum in June. The Forum was held by Australian Dementia Network (ADNeT) and brought together domestic and international speakers. The focus of the forum was Dementia Research: Discovery, Innovation, Translation.
“A growing body of literature suggests that common disease mechanisms exist between childhood dementia disorders and adult-onset neurodegenerative disorders such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. Presenting at the Australian Dementia Forum was a great opportunity for us to continue engaging researchers and experts on opportunities for research to benefit both adult and childhood dementia patients,” says Kris.
